In Outlook’s app for iPhone, iPad, and Android, there is no option to directly create new folders. However, there’s a workaround you can use to make a new folder. It involves moving one of your emails to another folder, creating that folder in the process. Later, you can move that email back toits original folder if you want.

To start, first, launch the Outlook app on your phone. In the app, tap and hold on an email to select it. Then, in the top-right corner, tap the three dots.

Select an email and tap the three dots in the top-right corner.

From the menu that opens, select “Move to Folder.”

Choose "Move to Folder" from the menu.

On the “Move Conversation” screen that opens, in the top-right corner, tap the “New Folder” option (an icon of a folder with a plus sign in it).

Tap "New Folder" in the top-right corner.

You will now see a “New Folder” box. Here, type a name for your new folder and tap “Create & Move.”

Enter the folder name and tap "Create & Move."

Your new folder is now created and is available to use. To access it, in Outlook’s top-left corner, tap your profile icon.

In the menu that opens, among other folders, you will see your new folder.
