Send a Zoom Invite for a Scheduled Meeting

Send a Zoom Invite for a Scheduled Meeting

If your meeting is already scheduled, and you would like to send out invites for it, here’s how to do that.

Send an Invite on Desktop

To send a meeting invite from your desktop computer, first, launch the Zoom app.

At the top of the Zoom window, click “Meetings.”

Click "Meetings" at top of Zoom.

On the “Meetings” page, you will see all your scheduled meetings. Here, click the meeting you want to invite people to.

Select a Zoom meeting.

On the right pane, your meeting’s details will appear. Here, to copy the text that describes how to join your meeting (the meeting invitation), click the “Copy Invitation” button.

Select "Copy Invitation" on the right pane.

To view the meeting invitation text before sending it, click the “Show Meeting Invitation” option. In the screenshot below, it says “Hide Meeting Invitation” because we have already clicked the option.

Click "Show Meeting Invitation" on the right pane.

Now that your invitation is copied to your clipboard, use an email, instant messenger, or whatever service you prefer to send invites. With this text invitation, your recipient will have all the details they need to join your meeting.

Send an Invite on Mobile

To send out invites from a mobile phone, launch the Zoom app on your phone. In the bottom bar of the app, tap “Meetings.”

Tap "Meetings" at the bottom of Zoom.

On the “Meetings” page, select the meeting you want to invite people to.

Choose a Zoom meeting.

A “Meeting Details” page will open. Tap the “Invite” button.

Select "Invite" on the "Meeting Details" page.

You will now see an “Add Invitees Via” menu. In this menu, select the app you want to use to send your invitation. To copy the invitation text to your clipboard, then tap “Copy to Clipboard” in the menu.

Select a way to send invite.

Send over your copied invitation however you want, and your recipient will be able to attend your meeting.
