Make Start Menu Full Screen In Windows 10

Windows 10 automatically detects the type of your device and turns on the Start menu or Start screen depending on your device type during the installation. The full-screen Start is automatically activated on tablets, and the standard Start menu is enabled on desktops and laptops.

Most users love the standard Start menu. A small section of PC users like the full-screen Start menu, which is also known as the Start screen. In fact, the full-screen Start, which was the default Start menu in Windows 8, was one reason why most PC users never upgraded to Windows 8/8.1.

That said, the full-screen Start menu makes sense for users who are running Windows 10 on a tablet or touch device. If, for some reason, you want to turn on the full-screen Start on your Windows 10 PC, you can do so as well.

Here is how you can make the Start menu full screen in Windows 10.

Enable full-screen Start menu in Windows 10

Step 1: Open the Settings app. Navigate to Personalization > Start page.

Step 2: Here, turn on the option labeled Use Start full-screen option to make the Start menu appear full screen in Windows 10.

When you want to go back to the small Start menu, turn off the same option (Use Start full screen).
